Only if there are any that conflict, in which case the last one on the
command line wins.

I can't say, because I don't know, but I'd just guess that it's some little
glitch in the way the options are autogenerated and nobody's fixed it yet
because it doesn't do any harm. Maybe even it's just a typo that nobody even
noticed yet, because it doesn't do any harm.... It won't apply an
optimisation twice.
