For the record, I reviewed both the Mission Statement and the GCC 4.1 release criteria. Neither is really applicable. The most applicable parts of our policies can be found in the GCC Development Plan at <http://gcc.gnu.org/develop.html#stage3> and <http://gcc.gnu.org/develop.html#release>. Mark, as the release manager, agreed to make an exception for ppc and long double, and the case per se is bridge under the water. Nevertheless, it is important to correctly represent our policies.
