Oh, yes, there is a similar problem when building binutils. I found I needed to delete ${srcdir}/gas/doc/asconfig.texi and ${srcdir}/ld/configdoc.texi. "make clean" doesn't delete these files for you. -- Alan Modra IBM OzLabs - Linux Technology Centre
