In fact, this was cleared up in the reload-branch (as documented here: http://gcc.gnu.org/wiki/BerndSchmidt), which seems that nobody has enough skill and time to get into a mergeable state. Now that we're entering Stage 1, it'd be great if somebody like you could find some time to work on it :) Giovanni Bajo
