I did not see any implication of "distrust" in Daniel's message.

I was the one who asked for opinions (actually, I believed that I asked
for concerns and objections, which is slightly different).

Ideally, we could address the concerns and achieve consensus, but in a
group as large as the one we have, I don't think unanimity can be
achieved.
