Hello [email protected],
for the past Cauldrons, we used to upload slides to the event GCC wiki
page. This year, with pretalx, where are they supposed to go? (And
please ask the speakers to upload them somewhere.)
I have uploaded slides at pretalx for now, but I agree - please share info
on what to do. Having them in the wiki alongside other years info would
be helpful.
Pretalx allows the authors to easily upload their slides and resources.
Pretalx allows the organizers to send all speakers emails.
I'm going to discuss with the OC sending all speakers an email asking
them to upload their final resources.
The Pretalx site isn't going away any time soon, the event code "opo25"
(airport and YY for year) is going to become our standard for identifying
the conference.
This way we can keep the old Cauldron's up and archived with the full
URL and structure of speaker and talks with content at:
https://conf.gnu-tools-cauldron.org/opo25/
While https://conf.gnu-tools-cauldron.org goes to the next year.
In summary:
- We will ask all speakers to upload their resources.
- We are planning to keep https://conf.gnu-tools-cauldron.org/opo25/
working as the archive.
- Next years conference will forward from https://conf.gnu-tools-cauldron.org
again hosted by the Pretalx.
- The wiki can point to opo25's content.
Richard.
It should go without saying, but thanks a lot for organizing a great
event. It was not only very useful but I have enjoyed it very much too.
