Just for reassurance: $ uname -r 8.2.0 $ type uname uname is hashed (/usr/bin/uname) $ /usr/share/libtool/config.guess powerpc-apple-darwin8.2.0 Still no seven involved.
If you have GNU coreutils installed, something bad may be happening.
