My apologies for the delay. Yes, this should be safe for the 3.3 release branch, as mentioned in the original approval: http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-patches/2005-01/msg01714.html. The cause of my delay was to investigate whether the code on the gcc-3_3-branch was significantly different or whether there was some other reason why this fix hadn't yet been committed there. If I get a few hours, and nobody beats me to it, I'll try a bootstrap and regression testing a backport of Jakub's fix myself. Roger --
