I've started to take a look at Darwin [sjlj.S] - and I have a feeling that it's going to be nearly 'change every line' - (our asm syntax is ancient) - so probably, in this case, better to have a separate file (but will try to get to a working version before making that judgement finally).

I presume that w should treat this as a normal prologue - and it looks very much like "save the world" - so I have a question:

is there any reason that we should avoid using out-of-line saves in this specific case?
