My post in PR 40176 #5 was ambiguous: the infinite loop does not need the -fwhole-file flag. I only wanted to say that I was using a clean tree+ the patch from http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/fortran/2009-05/msg00244.html. -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=40011
