For Linux that would be OK - just use the compiler from the distribution. But for "pentium4-pc-mingw32msv" it is not that easy. I fight this situation for a year now: Either the bootstrap compiler is to old (missing some new feature) or to new (having a new warning) but it never quite right. Anyway, the compiler at question is: GNAT GPL 2006 (20060522-34) Copyright 1996-2006, Free Software Foundation, Inc. Now 20060522-34 sounds distinctive older then 20070207-42 does it? And yes I know about all those private patches AdaCore added for GNAT GPL 2006. So please no lectures. Those private patches got us into a mess where only AdaCore is now able to create mingw Ada compiler.
