Hi Charles, Well, one reason a developer might want to own and operate more than one site is to simply keep certain types of products separate. I.E. this company/website just handles games, and another handles screen readers, OCR programs, etc he/she might be developing/selling, and another one might be for other projects he/she might be selling. I agree it makes sense to put it all under one roof/one website, but it all depends on if the products are connected/related or not.
For example, as I mentioned earlier I'm looking at developing some software for Linux like a good OCR package that absolutely has nothing to do with games. That might be a good product, but would look pretty weird being posted to a website called USA Games Interactive since it isn't a game. Therefore I might want to start up a separate website for handling those other products I'm developing that has nothing to do with USA Games while still maintaining USA Games as a company in its own right. Make sense? Cheers! On 4/11/11, Charles Rivard <woofer...@sbcglobal.net> wrote: > Having everything under one roof, so to speak, like a Wal-Mart, where you > can shop at one stop, makes sense to me.
