I have jumped in, a load of my computers didn't always start with accessible manuals or training. Here it goes. crash, reformat, learn something. Crash, reformat and then realise that the problem I am trying to fix is already under my nose I just need to configure. Crash then discover that my recovery cds are busted, so need to replace those. Crash, but then find the main board on the system is dead so no point. Crash, reformat, and decide that since I need to reformat I may as well upgrade and spend cash. That was what its been like with me. its only in the last few years that I have actually mastered the system enough. With my testing, there is a bit of crashing going on, but if its bad enough, I push a code and my yesterday's ghost restores overnight and I am back up and running, plus with the 320gb external usb2 drive I don't really worry about losing data as I access most from this drive.
