Six dragons is fun, just extract the sounds and dump in the sounds folder of Vip, though I believe you need the full version of Vipmud for the sounds to work. The only weerd thing is extracting the soundpack, since it's been zipped twice for some reason.

While Six dragons is no where near the alter sound client, it probably is the most extensive mud soundpack I've seen, certainly way more than materiamagica. I just wish the game was getting updates and also had more players.

All the best,

Dark.

I prefer vip over all. I just use mush z from time to time. I been
meaning to try to set up 6 dragons to give that ago.

Hi.

I'm not sure what you mean by "show you things", nobody showed me how to use

Vip either, it just worked out.

To answer your question about soundpacks, Materiamagica is occasional
sounds played for certain mud events like recall, fights etc, but it's
certainly no where near alter, or even like the music stings and sounds you

get with six dragons, still it does enhance the game somewhat.

All the best,

Dark.

Hmmm, what is the problem with Vip? One thing I liked is it just works.
You go to quick connect, type in mud info and your done, or if you want
to create a character for the menu, you go to character create, select
the mud, and type in your character's name and password and select if you

want auto login, ie, the mud writes the name and password in for you.

I've always found it much easier than mush, accept for MushZ, and even
then I miss some of the output functions and such with sapi.

it's probably a personal thing though and if your used to mush fare
enough.

All the best,

Dark.

Hi.

There are several clients people use, as to "best" that seems to
depend upon the person.

I personally like vipmud from gmagames because I find it streight
fforward, logical and easy to connect with. Other people like Mush
client which I gather has more advanced scripting, but since I never
got all of that stuff anyway, and since Mushclient doesn't play quite

as nicely with sapi as Vipmud doesI tend to prefer vipmud myself.

There is also a thing called monkey term, but I have no idea about
that one and Haven't really heard of anyone using it for years.

All the best,

Dark.
