Rats! You spoiled the fun!

I used to be a credit card terminal troubleshooter for Discovercard, and this is by far their busiest time of the year. Their phone system was not set up as it should have been. It was set to give the person who has been off the phone for the longest amount of time the next call that comes in. The problem was that it didn't matter what department you worked in. So you might get a call that was dialed correctly by a customer, but is not your job, and you don't have access to the info they need. A merchant with a machine problem might have called the right department, but someone who deals with credit card fraud got the call, and they don't know a thing about accessing and changing the information stored in a machine's memory and programming. So the person getting the call has to put the caller on hold, call the same number the customer did, wait until whoever answered, tell them what was going on and, if they were in the right department, connect the waiting caller. At this time of year, as soon as you were disconnected from a caller, another call was automatically answered by the system. You do not physically answer the phone. No gap between calls. It was a zoo!!

Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Is This Holiday bash Real?

Hi Teresa,

Smile. No, it was meant to be a joke. I was out doing some Christmas
shopping when I came up with the idea for this game, because at this
time of year the stores are packed and are a mad house with customers
pushing, shoving, standing around in isles, etc. There have actually
been news reports where holiday shoppers have died while out shopping
because they got trampled by crowds, stock boys have been trampled,
and last month a Walmart greeter died when he unlocked the doors and
got squashed by the crowd when they all came running into the store at
once for the Thanksgiving Day sales. I thought a joke about the wild
crowds would be amusing to someone who knew how crazy holiday shopping
can be.

Cheers!

Ok, I'll bite. I don't see it anywhere. Is it a figment of the
