A couple of things, here. You say that you always have problems unsubscribing to Google groups? This is not a fault of L-Works. It is apparently something that you are always doing incorrectly rather than the fault of any developer, and should not be stated as you did.

Secondly, all game documentation I have encountered say that it is your responsibility to back up game keys in some form other than on your hard drive, whether it be in the form of a separate data storage device like a thumb drive, external drive, hard copy braille, or whatever. They should not be expected to replace lost keys at no charge. If they choose to do so, it is their prerogative, but not a necessity or responsibility. I know someone who wrote down the info for a game's registration, then he deleted the original Email. He took this information down on a note taker, and must have mistyped it. Now the game won't register, and he wants a replacement key or a copy of the original Email resent to him. I think he's out of luck.

Subject: [Audyssey] My complaint about l-works games.

Hi. I rarely complain in general, and I also rarely write on this list, but I decided to do so, since I can't hold my anger any longer. I've been asking
l-works to provide me new keys for Judgment Day, as well as Super Liam for
my windows 7 new laptop and I'm ignored. I bought the games 3 or 4 years ago and I had them installed on my xp laptop. However, it died, and it's about a
year that I'm asking l-works support by email, and also on twitter with
direct messages. The thing is that I was getting an answer, especially with
direct messages: It's ok I will do my best to give you new keys, etc. And
this goes on and on and on from last December, now I see my sent archive. I
know the l-works games are addictive, but I'm never buying anything from
them again. I tried also to unsubscribe from their mailing list but it's
impossible. I always find impossible to unsubscribe from google groups. I
also asked other game developers to give me back game keys that I made the
mistake not to back up, as well as give me new keys for games when I needed and I never ever had that kind of behavior by anyone else. I know people can
be very busy, but especially if they want to be professional, they should
find some time for their customers and do there best to help. The last time I asked with a direct message, was last week, and on that one I even had no answer. Anyway. I'm terribly sorry for deciding to write this here, and I'm
also sorry for quitting l-works games that I so much liked.

Eleni
