The point of this email thread wasn't to ask the question: "how can we appease ourselves for those who want to use forums". The point was to ask to see if there was anyone who wishes to help theme the thing. Like it or not, forums are not going to go away. FVWM has had one for ~15 years now. As a project, we should be recognising that there can be more than one method for people to communicate and engage. For some, forums are seen as "better" in that there's an easier ride for people to attach images, and focus in on topic they care about. You can't easily do that with email. I know this does increase burdens on contributors -- but in the last fifteen years it hasn't been a problem. Most people who use the forums are ultimately pointed to this list for additional help that can't be solved elsewhere, and that's OK, too. I am not expecting contributors to this project to monitor both emails and a forum if they don't want to. -- Thomas Adam
