If you have xlock, you could run $ xlock -nolock -inroot -mode nose This paints some character with a big nose, spitting out random fortunes. Or you can use the root-tail program, e.g. $ fortune | root-tail - Ciao Dominik ^_^ ^_^ -- Dominik Vogt
