Try to add some bg setting to these three colorsets in addition to the
gradients. If that works, then for some reason the averaging of the gradients
to form a background tries to read the root pixmap.

I finally had a chance to add the following bg settings to the colorsets
and I no longer receive these three consecutive errors in my .xsession
file.
