Besides Xming - which some people have not been able to get to work - you could also try MobaXterm or VcxSrv instead for X-Windows servers. There are links to those on the above wiki page. - R.. Aborted i have installed freesurfer on my laptop following the same instructions, the ones on freesurfers website, and freeview is working fine. I searched online for suggestions and solutions but I can't seem to be able to solve the problem. i have tried it all, i am desperate.
