Dear all,

I have followed the instructions on the following thread to get synthseg and
synthstrip working on a Mac M1 running Mac OS 14.4.1.

https://secure-web.cisco.com/1z0NvcyulyAlPNPdO0aoX9HmzbTLQxZpEv8dVkKqSnsr7R1UzSrBWhhHzMEtaV1olEDAkP37CpNga2d3ILGqynFq44A9LUSSNaFxov-ZutuNXA1yWuwMk8RaMJWMxM1bhmJCTr3tlK859WIjCjFBjmNODPh7Xr00NUwkegDvUaG2isDoqEiULJqhW3aR5tEERKmEvNrl4vEdQqWoq5Af1w6VrcmdobpaJAwkM3Y2_PTKK-x0xNiHMD6SW_3DWD-FBd8v0-_sPIWtS_gEO4UrPULGeknb91-cvCh_MSoWqE_vFoeYvged0GIUMyzMKF1JedBH610tTD27fX-Yxo_Hzyg/https%3A%2F%2Fwww.mail-archive.com%2Ffreesurfer%40nmr.mgh.harvard.edu%2Fmsg77169.html

I downloaded version 7.4.1 dev arm64 from the link but still see issues with
mri_synthstrip: the command sometimes fails and I’ve noticed the command peaks
at 48GB of RAM usage (I have 16 available). mri_synthseg does complete in about
4 minutes.

Can anyone suggest a fix for synthstrip please? In general when I call the
command at the terminal it completes, when I call it from a pipeline it fails.

Kind regards,
Tom Kirk
