External Email - Use Caution There’s no need to have a license file in a particular location if you set the environment variable FS_LICENSE to point to the license file. If you are using the Ubuntu 18 VM made available with Freesurfer 7, then adding the license.txt file you received to developer’s home directory should have caused FS_LICENSE as set in the environment to read it, $ cd $HOME$ pwd/home/developer$ ls -l license.txt… and you should see something like ...-rw-rw-r— 1 developer developer nn month day hours:minutes license.txt$ echo $FS_LICENSE/home/developer/license.txt$ head -1 $fs_license...@somewhere.com <—— email you used to register If the above is not working in your copy of the VM, then set FS_LICENSE manually, $ export FS_LICENSE=/path_to_file/license.txt - R.
