You can also use tksurferfv, which is a frontend for freeview that takes
the tksurfer options

tksurfer fsaverage lh inflated
But, there is no room to input the overlay .mgh file. Moreover, I did
not find relevant info in the -tcl scripting.
Do you have any suggestions?
