This will sample all the segmentations, but we are only interested in CC mri_vol2surf --regheader $subject--mov aseg.mgz --projdist-max -2 .5 2 --o lh.aseg.mgz --hemi lh Create a binary map of just the CC mri_binarize --i lh.aseg.mgz --match 251 252 253 254 255 --o lh.cc.mgz Compute the area in the binary map mri_segstats --i ../surf/lh.area --accumulate --id 1 --seg lh.cc.mgz --sum sum.cc.dat You'll see something that looks like this in the file: # ColHeaders Index SegId NVoxels Volume_mm3 StructName Mean StdDev Min Max Range 1 1 1357 1357.0 Seg0001 1028.3962 0.3208 0.0310 2.1589 2.1279 The total area will be under the "Mean" column, 1028.3962 mm2 in this case As I said, this has not been validated in anyway so use with caution
