Thank you for your clear and thorough response. I followed the steps exactly as you suggested and everything up to step 6 seemed to work fine. However after trying to mount the shared folder (step 6) I get an error message that "No such device found". Any comments/thoughts appreciated. Negar, I remember I had the same problem and it wasn't straight forward for me. Try this and see what happens: 1- First share it through Machine-> settings->Shared folders 2- Then run this command in terminal: sudo apt-get install 3- Then run sudo apt-get install virtualbox-ose-guest-x11 4- Restart the Ubuntu 5- Make a new directory under /media .
