This error means that the number of volumes in your diffusion data set doesn't match the number of lines in the bvecs/bvals files.

You can run "mri_info dmri/dwi.nii.gz" to see the number of volumes in your data set.

Dear Anastasia, I checked the files with the command "more" and were ok. But
did not run. I am worried, because I tried many things and still having the
same problem:

data and bvals/bvecs do not contain the same number of entries

Attached is the log file. I think could be the format of the text file. What
would be the correct format? Unicode-8, Unicode-16, etc.

Thank you very much!

I need to see the log file. Based on the output files that you
sent me, it ran further along this time, so you must be running
into a different error now. I can't guess what the problem is
      without seeing the log.

      Dear Anastasia, thank you!
I've done what you suggested and saved in text files. But,
      even that did not work!
Could you please see my files again? I checked with the
      command "more bvecs" and
was ok. I really need to solve this problem urgently. I am
      also sending the dmri
      folder.

      Thank you very much!

Hi Andrea - Make sure that the b-value table and
      gradient table are
saved as plain text files. When you run the "more"
      command on them,
you should see all the numbers and only numbers.

This is what I get when I run more on your files
      (this may vary
depending on the flavor of unix you have on your
      computer):

            % more bvals.txt

0^M1000^M1000^M1000^M1000^M1000^M1000^M1000^M1000^M1000^M1000^M1000^M1000^M
      1000
^M1000^M1000^M1000^M1000^M1000^M1000^M1000^M1000^M1000^M1000^M1000^M1000^M1
      000^M^
            M1000^M1000^M1000^M1000^M1000^M1000
            % more bvecs.txt
"bvecs.txt" may be a binary file.  See it anyway?
