Dear Freesurfers,

I have a problem with all tk* functions of FreeSurfer. It seems that
whenever any of these functions try to open a window, they get stuck.

Just typing "tkmedit" or "tksurfer" doesn't even show the manual
entries. No error output is provided. When I run tkregister2, the last
output to the terminal is "Opening window SUBJECTID" and nothing more
happens. Other functions like "mri_convert" or "mri_label2vol" seem to
work fine.

I'm assuming that something about the GUI and/or tcl/tk (or related
libraries) is going wrong. I re-installed FreeSurfer, which should
also install tcl/tk binaries. This didn't help.

What else could I try to make it work?

Maybe I should point out that I recently moved my entire data from
smaller hard disks to larger ones. However, my primary hard disk
(where OS and also FreeSurfer are installed and where FS
reconstructions are stored) wasn't one of them.

Thanks & best,
Michael
