Hi BOBO, There are 2 popular atlases the Talairach (which was developed from a single female brain) and the MNI (which has been developed on an average of several adult brains). MNI coordinates is basically co-ordinates of the MNI space and extremely popular and well-used in the neuroimaging modality.
Here are couple of useful links: http://www.bic.mni.mcgill.ca/ServicesAtlases/ICBM152NLin2009 http://imaging.mrc-cbu.cam.ac.uk/imaging/MniTalairach Manish Dalwani Instructor Dept. of Psychiatry University of CO ________________________________________ From: freesurfer-boun...@nmr.mgh.harvard.edu [freesurfer-boun...@nmr.mgh.harvard.edu] On Behalf Of bowan...@mail.ustc.edu.cn [bowan...@mail.ustc.edu.cn] Sent: Tuesday, April 10, 2012 7:40 PM To: freesurfer Subject: [Freesurfer] What is MNI coordinates Dear FreeSurfer experts Recently,I am learning FreeSurfer and I see a word 'MNI coordinates'.What is MNI coordinates? Can you give me some essays about it? thanks very much BOBO _______________________________________________ Freesurfer mailing list Freesurfer@nmr.mgh.harvard.edu https://mail.nmr.mgh.harvard.edu/mailman/listinfo/freesurfer The information in this e-mail is intended only for the person to whom it is addressed.
