For fun, I just compiled a custom version of PGME’s QFNTLOAD program. While it still requires VGA. It will use 40 column mode instead of 80 column mode. So, running “QFNTLD40.EXE PGM826.FNT” will provide 40x15 text mode. Using other PGME’s fonts (like PGM825, PGM820, etc) will result in different total lines. It is doubtful I will include this in future releases of PGME. But maybe, I will make it a command line option. If you want to experiment with this custom custom version, you can fetch it from my server at: https://fd.lod.bz/redist/utils/qfntload/ <https://fd.lod.bz/redist/utils/qfntload/> FYI, you can reset to 80x25 by running “QFNTLD40 reset” (same as in QFNTLOAD). Good luck trying to find a text editor that works well in 40x15 text mode. :-)
