That's what I did in the old days, yes. Now, I install on a USB key configured as a VM's main storage. That way it boots both in a VM and on bare metal from that USB, and it's trivially easy to get stuff into the VM by just copying it onto the key. I detailed how to do that here a couple of weeks ago: https://www.theregister.com/2025/04/26/dos_distraction_free_writing/ Based in part on this blog post from 9y ago: https://liam-on-linux.livejournal.com/50416.html -- Liam Proven ~ Profile: https://about.me/liamproven Email: lpro...@cix.co.uk ~ gMail/gTalk/FB: lpro...@gmail.com Twitter/LinkedIn: lproven ~ Skype: liamproven IoM: (+44) 7624 227612: UK: (+44) 7939-087884 Czech [+ WhatsApp/Telegram/Signal]: (+420) 702-829-053 _______________________________________________ Freedos-user mailing list Freedos-user@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/freedos-user
