Hi Mateusz,
This list being dedicated to FreeDOS, I advise to use the SvarDOS forum http://svardos.org/?p=forum or the SvarDOS bug tracker https://github.com/SvarDOS/bugz/issues for any questions or remarks related to SvarDOS.
I like all sorts of DOS topics here, but you made me curious. http://svardos.org/?p=forum&thread=1713421433 says SvarDOS is a lightweight floppy distro for 8086 with 256k RAM and better. The main system (or installer?) fits on a single floppy, other packages can be added via network. So people still have ISA network cards already with RJ45 LAN connectors, I assume :-) The distro uses FreeDOS or, new recommendation, EDR-DOS kernel, and provides faster release cycles and less restricted license, where only core packages have to be open source: http://svardos.org/phpamb.php?fname=help/help-en&f=freedos.ama I guess one could say that our TEST releases are rolling, fast releases of FreeDOS, but people still use the ancient stable. http://svardos.org/?p=forum&thread=1722279472 The EDR-DOS kernel works with WfW 3.11 in 386enhanced mode. The FreeDOS kernel theoretically does that as well, but as long as people have to compile it by hand or search for some barely advertised binaries, many users miss that opportunity.
