Yes, it's probably not surprising that the company that made MS-DOS
Edit and Word for DOS would make them look a bit similar. I used
Microsoft QuickC in the early 1990s, that looks similar too. :-)

What I like best about Word for DOS 5.5 is that it uses a more
"modern" keybinding set. I read somewhere that Word used to use
different keys, but then they updated the keys in Word for DOS 5.5 to
be more like Windows? So you can use things like ctrl+arrows to jump
around a document, shift+arrows to select text, and even
ctrl+shift+arrows to select words. And ctrl+b for bold, ctrl+i for
italic, and ctrl+u for underline. And ctrl+c, ctrl+x, and ctrl+v for
copy, cut, and paste. You don't have to remember "new" keys to use
this version of Word, if you are already used to the "modern"
keybindings (as I am, at least for a word processor).

You can find the answer by clicking on "What's included" on the "Download" page:
https://freedos.org/download/

The "What's included" link brings you to the report:
https://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/distributions/1.3/official/report.html

And yes, SLOWDOWN is in there. So it TP7P5FIX. Click on the names in
the report for details. For example:

I don't know. Do you have one to suggest?

I think everyone has a favorite! :-) That's why on the "Download"
page, we have links to different PC emulators or virtual machines you
can use to install FreeDOS, including VirtualBox, QEMU, and Dosemu2
(Linux).

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!

This is completely unrelated to FreeDOS and is very off-topic. From
