Well, I wrote some tools for personal use back in the early 90’s that will do this. Also, a 1.2 on 1.44, 360 on a 720 or whatever as long as it “fits”. These sources and many others were lost decades ago in a hard drive failure. It was good for making backups of diskettes (including some that other tools could not clone). Unfortunately, it does not use a standard image file format like dd, raread or edict. But, if a sector on the source is unreadable, it will be made unreadable on the target disk. Basically, there are two tools. Savedisk and Makedisk. One makes an image. The other puts the image on a floppy. Anyhow, if you want, I’ll release the binaries to public domain and put them up on my server. :-) Jerome ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot _______________________________________________ Freedos-user mailing list Freedos-user@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/freedos-user
