I am pleased with MetaDOS, most of the time this is all the DOS I need. As you may recall, I used it in my DOS4WIN64 package: https://sourceforge.net/p/freedos/mailman/message/33121840/ This package bundles MetaDOS with Qemu to allow to run DOS applications on a 64bit Windows PC.
