I don't meant permanently disabled, obviously, just saying,
"something" isn't working on that particular machine. At least, he
keeps insisting that it boots on two other computers just fine. So,
unless you want to say that computer is entirely hosed or the BIOS is
"broken", you have to start with what is obvious:  disable any
unneeded stuff (temporarily). If that doesn't fix anything, then
re-enable it all.

I don't know if it would help or work or clash or not, but the OP
could also "maybe" just use PLoP Boot Manager (via floppy?), and see
if that can boot a USB for him. (I know I've mentioned this before,
but it always helped me boot USB copy of PuppyLinux on my old P4,
which couldn't natively boot from USB.)
