Thanks for the help, Mateusz. I'm not currently using FreeDOS for anything. I just enjoy playing with operating systems to see what I can get them to do.
If I were to find a use for FreeDOS, it would be to eventually get a Hyperterminal-like program running in OpenGEM. Laptops with serial ports are rare these days, and the ones we have are so old that even XUbuntu runs slow. Can I use FDNPKG to update FreeDOS, or do I need the FDUPDATE maintainer to add proxy functionality to that as well? -Toby -----Original Message----- From: Mateusz Viste [mailto:mate...@viste-family.net] Sent: Monday, October 07, 2013 8:19 AM To: freedos-user@lists.sourceforge.net Subject: Re: [Freedos-user] HTTP_PROXY? Hi Toby, FDNPKG doesn't support proxy. The mystery is over :) Can I ask what you are using FreeDOS for? Just curious. I will add proxy support to FDNPKG for you by the end of this week. Will let you know (and the list) when it's done. cheers, Mateusz On 10/07/2013 04:47 PM, Richards, Toby wrote: > Hi all: > > I'm working in an environment where port 80 is closed on the firewall > in order to enforce the use of a proxy server.
