That information would have been great to find on the Freedos.org site. Not being that familiar with you're packaging, I made the fewest assumptions about it I could, and finding the install bat file past formatting seemed the easiest. In fact, I was following a limited suggestion from the Freedos.org site, which only mentioned that one has to get past the formatting issue, but didn't say how.
Maybe you can get that info installed on the site. --- On Thu, 8/7/08, Eric Auer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > From: Eric Auer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: Re: [Freedos-user] about install freeDOS over vmware > To: freedos-user@lists.sourceforge.net > Date: Thursday, August 7, 2008, 9:13 AM > > I've also installed Freedos in dosemu (a bit of a > challenge) > > and qemu, a similar product to vmware. > > See: http://www.larrydsmith.com/linux/dosqemu.html > > Please explain the dosemu install problems some more... > > > > Actually dosemu can be easier: There is no need to > partition > or format or even sys (!) anything, You can go to the > directories > on the cdrom which contain all the *x.zip files (for > example one > has all the base files) and unzip them into a fdos > directory on > your dosemu drive.
