I run freedos in vmware. I've not tried it in virtualbox. I'm running mostly small apps, a forth compiler I wrote, the Microsoft Quick Pascal compiler, the Microsoft Quick C compiler.
No keyboard problems I'm aware of. I'm not sure I've tried the mouse.
