I think FreeDOS is used in a surprising amount of business applications,
but people don't advertise it very much because DOS isn't 'cool'.

We currently use FreeDOS as a RTOS (real time interrupts, anyway) for a
neuropsychological test of attention. And we deeply, deeply care about
the test working correctly so we've tested the heck out of our test AND
FreeDOS, on hundreds of computers, and I have to say FreeDOS is just
rock solid.
