This is either in error or else they aren't willing to do the work of
adding an appropriate moduule.

I subscribe to a list that runs Mailman ver 2.0.7 (which is an earlier
version) and it strips out both HTML and any binaries.

example. The webmistress of the site would probably be willing to help
out, if asked.
