Originally my only test hardware was a CP2102 connected directly to a 
microcontroller so I couldn't get access to the control lines, etc.. Now 
however I have an FPGA dev. board with a CP2102 on it so I will be able to 
look at the various control signals.

I have found that the programmer sort of works but it seems to 'lag' intially 
so perhaps there is a command that needs to be sent to kick things off.
