Some time working with binary oriented software systems have teach me that simple changes may become harder when size and numbers grow up. I think this may be even harder with a non-binary oriented system like ports. But this doesn't solve the real problem. We've lost a reference model about rc and the interaction with the base system and ports. - some kinda of style for ports/system rc scripts - some docs about keywords and stage support - some kinda of timeline model ...
