That problem is solved. I had to explicitly disaable eveery possible compression protocil, then it worked. The strange thing ist that it workt before withou disabling that protocols.
Has your ISP upgraded their routers to Cisco IOS 12.3? I hit a similar bug in a ppp session on OpenBSD :/
