General word to the public: The first time you use portupgrade, be prepared to have your computer spend a *long* time upgrading ports. I had 187 ports on my computer when I started it the first time. It took almost a day on a twin-CPU Pentium 1G system. Ouch. Of course, I had Mozilla, my wife's KDE, gnucash... most of the really nasty stuff in the Ports Collection, actually. Running those upgrades by hand would have taken a week, not to mention sorting out the dependencies. -- Michael Lucas [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.blackhelicopters.org/~mwlucas/ Big Scary Daemons: http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/q/Big_Scary_Daemons To Unsubscribe: send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
