I am currently using emacs-devel, however, I have been using glib-2.30.x from marcus's experimental ports for a while. It seems everything is ok. Either you can tweak some configure args availabe to emacs-devel, and see how it is going, or you might pull the glib-2.30.x port from Marcus's site and give it a try.
