in order to get the higher resolutions, you should
probably install the port
/usr/ports/sysutils/915resolution
which redefines the bios modes.
In my case (Dell Latitude X1) i run it as
#--- set 1280 resolution on video
/usr/local/bin/915resolution 5c 1280 768
you should probably change the 768 to 800 if that's your
screen height.
cheers

Patch mode 58 to resolution 1280x1024 complete
I also set
Section "Screen"
Identifier "Screen0"
Device "Card0"
Monitor "Monitor0"
SubSection "Display"
Viewport 0 0
Depth 32
Modes "1280x800" "1024x768" "800x600"
EndSubSection
But once I rebooted the laptop I lose it, and I have to do it again
after the FreeBSD starts
Is there a work around for this issue?
