Running "make fetchindex" then "/usr/sbin/pkg_version -vIL=" results in
the exact same output as I originally reported. I reran "portsnap" to
see if that made any difference and it did not.

Maybe this is just a localized phenomena. In any case, if it doesn't
affect anything, I am not going to go all ballistic over it.
