Jack, understood. I won't submit my final patch with the work around to you. However, I have a 82599EB with an Intel dual-rate SFP+ receiver which will not come in 1G mode no matter how hard I try. I have dumped the AUTOC and LINKS register and the card is not happy. Basically the driver: Writes 0xC0905004 to AUTOC to start AN/Link startup and the LINKS immediately reports 0x203c0001 before looking in setup_multispeed_fiber->setup_mac_link_82599 etc. Can you confirm with your test engineer that the Intel dual-rate SFP+ works in 1Gbe mode on FreeBSD? Thanks! -aps PS The cables I have are good and the optical tester shows they are active as well as plugging them into another card with a standard SFP module (Finisar). _______________________________________________ freebsd-net@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-net To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-net-unsubscr...@freebsd.org"
