I'm looking for ssomething managed, as well as SNMP aware so that I can tie it into Zabbix for monitoring ... something 8 or 12 port preferred.
The 3com SuperStack 2 line is being replaced by the SS3 (which have gigabit uplinks) so the older models are priced to clear out; you should be able to find a 12-port 3300XM for ~ $400 or so...
