I assume that a colon : can not form part of a hashtag in the Fediverse.
Good point. Didn't think about hashtags. Same probably applies to dot - at
least for LinkedIn, if I remember correctly.
I made a private test post in BSD Cafe, of these three only the
underscore works:
#FBSD_LDWG #FBSD-LDWG #FBSD.LDWG
There's no easy way to fix this, I guess. I'm happy to put a #FreeBSD in
all my list mails to help with the filtering?
Short of making it FBSDLDWG, which can easily be mistyped, I'm out of
ideas, I'm afraid.

I still like Ludwig, but if there's something like consensus on
FBSD_LDWG I'll not argue :)
As a hashtag in BSD Cafe, me seeking Ludwig finds only a handful of
predictable things (in addition to the work group), the earliest of
which was 29th September. One post for a cat named Ludwig, one post
about Beethoven, three posts about a detective series
<https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/m0022wvz/ludwig>.
Elsewhere (less BSD-oriented) there'll be more connections between
Ludwig and Beethoven. I'm not visiting X :)
I'm not fussed about abbreviations, just kicking the ball around.
Ultimately it doesn't affect the work of the group.
